Athlete Support - A Vital Athlete Fan Connection

Dear family, friends and fans:

The road to the top for an ice dance team, qualifying for national, international and Olympic competition, is an all-consuming journey. It takes absolute dedication, hard work, the right coaching, years of intensive training and enormous sums of money. In our case, training, competition and related expenses run well over $100,000 each year. Regardless of talent or potential, the top vanishes in plain sight if we can't meet these expenses annually. WE NEED TO RAISE FUNDS TO FINANCE OUR TRAINING FOR THE 2014-2015 SEASON. That's why we're reaching out to one and all asking for donations to our training fund. And even modest donations make a huge difference - here's how.

Collective Fan Participation!

As in the parable, "HOW DO YOU EAT AN ELEPHANT?" grassroots fundraising is a "ONE BITE AT A TIME" affair! A fan recently made a $100 donation with a note saying, "I wish it could be more." It got us thinking - do fans hold back because they think their donations can't be big enough to matter? The truth is, few can "take a big bite" making donations of $500, $1000, $2500 or more, but many can "take a small bite" with donations of $25, $50, $100, even $250 or more.

ALL DONATIONS, large and small, MAKE A DIFFERENCE because IT'S COLLECTIVE PARTICIPATION THAT MATTERS. Donations are pooled in our training fund and together help us meet our training expenses. Now back to collective participation and the elephant - our fund raising goal of $100,000. We need lots of people taking lots of bites to raise $100,000! That's why we're asking each of you to PARTICIPATE BY MAKING A DONATION in whatever amounts you are able, LARGE OR SMALL.
